When the clothes in Calvin Klein's spring show came down the runway, everyone in the packed room knew the collection was the veteran designer's best ever. And that included David Schwimmer, who, bearing no resemblance to the nebbishy Ross he plays on TV, watched the parade of sleek suits from his front-and-center celebrity seat. Here the actor and the threads look a little more casual than they did that day. Of course, they both still look great.

Our man, whose first major movie, The Pallbearer, opens this spring, shows off Klein's genious for minimalist chic in a simple pair of trousers and a leather jacket that smartly straddles the line between sport coat and outerwear. Showing off his own versatality, Schwimmer will direct his first film this summer, starring members of his Lookinglass Theatre Company, which he cofounded in Chicago while at Northwestern.

Schwimmer wears this suit in his prefferred mode: simply, monochromatically, casually.
